About my classes

In my mixed ability yoga class, I focus on strength as our foundation to practice. This enables us to stretch our bodies safely, to our own measure.

I welcome all levels and abilities to class, from beginners to the more experienced.

The form of yoga you will practice, Hatha Yoga, will allow you to work within your own comfort zone. Gradually beginning to build up flexibility and strength at your own pace.

Each class will introduce and practice the physical movements of yoga. Breaking down a yoga pose over a number of weeks and working on the elements to make it safe for all.

Working in stages, offering modifications throughout. Always work to your own pace. We will also explore the breath awareness during class.

Finishing off with a guided relaxation to rejuvenate our bodies and calm our minds.

Are you ready to start your journey?

What if I've never done yoga before?

That is completely fine. Everyone is welcome, even complete beginners. There is a stage for all to work with. I encourage all to work at their own pace, listening to their own bodies and easing out when need too.

"Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is about what you learn on the way down".

What to bring?

  • A yoga mat, or a suitable alternative. If you don’t have a mat, don’t worry just let me know.

  • Wear comfortable, loose fitting or exercise clothing.

  • For the relaxation part of the class bring warm clothing (jumpers, socks). Some like to have a blanket or even an eye pillow.

For practical reasons, yoga is practiced with bare feet.
