My Story

I was first introduced to yoga after leaving my job in the city of London. I was all over the place, and a friend mentioned giving yoga a go. I was thinking – oh really, that is not for me. Anyway, that said, I went to a yoga class at my local gym. At first, if I am honest, I was thinking, “not sure this is for me”, but at the time, I tried all the classes and thought I would give it 3 goes. I am truly grateful that I did. Little did I know back then, just how much yoga would become such a big part of my life and being more then just a physical practice.

I found a brilliant yoga teacher, Rebecca Papa-Adams, who was teaching at my local gym, I started going to her once a week. To which after a while I went several times a week, sometimes 4 times a week. I started practicing at home and noticed how much I was also interested in the non-physical side of yoga. When I injured my knee (not through yoga) some years ago, yoga not only fixed it but made me much stronger. I knew then that yoga would become a regular practice in my life. I love how focused, energized and relaxed I feel after class.

I wanted to learn more and deepen my own practice in yoga, so I enrolled on a British Wheel of Yoga foundation course. This was in 2016. I studied with a fabulous teacher called Deena Davis. I loved everything about this course, and it gave me the bug to want to learn more and go on to teach. I wanted to share and spread the news of just how fantastic Yoga really is. I have trained with the British Wheel of Yoga, 500hrs (BWYQ, level 4), with the fabulous and inspiring teachers Zoe Knott and Deena Davis.

Yoga provides a lot of different thing for different people, for me it has helped me overcome some very hard and challenging times in my private life. Kept me grounded and clam. Made my once weak body now strong. Made me more open and accepting. The benefits are endless and I am not sure what I would do without it. That why I love teaching yoga.

I believe yoga is for anyone and everyone, and I am deeply passionate about making yoga accessible for absolutely everyone. Yoga is not ultimately about making shapes. It is a science of the mind where we can build strength. Bringing us closer to our mind and body and enabling us to live our best life. Yoga has benefits that go far beyond the practice of asanas.

I am keen to encourage new and experienced yoga students to benefit from their practice and knowledge of Yoga.

I would love for you join me at one of my classes, whatever stage you are at.

Yoga really is for you.
